The Institute organizes training and workshops for middle-level extension personnel including Subject Matter Specialists, Sub Divisional Agricultural Officers, Agriculture Development Officers, Horticulture development officers and other in-service professionals working in the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Social forestry, Fisheries, Sericulture, Rural Development etc. of the nine northern states viz. Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand and one union territory i.e. Chandigarh. Along with these training programmes EEI, Nilokheri also conducts workshops for the Extension Professionals, Scientists and Master Trainers working in Agricultural Universities and Krishi Vigyan Kendras of above mentioned states.
